A friend and family supported agriculture project, Hippie Chicks Organic Hops is one of the first hops farms in beautiful Palisade, Colorado. It all started when Julie, a teacher, decided that something must be done with the back acreage at her "cute little Norman Rockwell setting" of a farmhouse. Thus, she enlisted the help of her Hippie Chick friends, and some new friends who knew a thing or two about hops and brew. We are headed into the 2011 season with high hopes for hops, after a very successful harvest in 2010. We have organically grown Cascade and Chinook varieties. We are working towards USDA Organic Certification, and we are in our second transitional year. Whole dry hops are available by the ounce or by the pound, so you can put a little of our Hippie Chick love into your home brew. Cheers!
